The Friday 56~ An Abundance of Katherines

It’s time for another edition of The Friday 56, a weekly meme hosted by Freda’s Voice.

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Link up.

This week I chose to feature An Abundance of Katherines by John Green.

“‘I see,’ said Colin, which is what he had learned to say when he had nothing to say.”

Book Beginnings~ Silence is Goldfish

I’ve added some additional memes to my repertoire and am linking up with Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader.

This meme is a fairly simple concept, we share the first line or so from a current read. This week I’m featuring Silence is Goldfish by Annabel Pitcher.

Silence Is Goldfish

There must be a list on the Internet of what to buy when you’re running away, but my phone is typically dead, like I swear it just passes out whenever things get stressful.

Just like a cell phone.

Book Blogger Hop #6

I am linking up with Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer for the Book Blogger Hop. And what is the Book Blogger Hop? Well according to the meme’s page:

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question:

Do you participate in readathons and/or reading challenges? (submitted by Kristin @ Lukten av Trykksverte)

Yes, definitely! I am participating in a whole slew of reading challenges this year! I want to participate in more readathons, but my schedule has made it difficult to do so. My preferred style of readathon are those that run for 24 hours or a weekend, and unless I can arrange to have the time off, I just can’t do it. I have joined up where I can though.
