Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop #19

I am linking up with Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer for the Book Blogger Hop. And what is the Book Blogger Hop? Well according to the meme’s page:

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question:

What is your favorite part of blogging? Is there a least favorite part of blogging? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Hmmm… this one is a toughie.

I think my favorite part of blogging, at least in the book blogging world, is the community. For the most part I have found the community of book bloggers to be welcoming, supportive, friendly and fun. I also enjoy sharing my favorite books, some of which crop up repeatedly in the different memes I participate in. I also enjoy finding new authors that I’ve never tried before through other bloggers. So I guess what I’m saying is I love everything about blogging? Or at least being a book blogger?

Is there a least favorite thing? Maybe spam comments, but I have a spam blocker so they don’t interfere with my comments… and some of them are pretty hilarious. And server issues suck, but I thankfully don’t have that many of them. I’ve had a couple of security issues in the past, but not in this blogging life. So there’s really nothing that I really don’t like about blogging.

Book Beginnings

Book Beginnings~ The Crown

I’ve added some additional memes to my repertoire and am linking up with Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader.

This meme is a fairly simple concept, we share the first line or so from a current read. This week I’m featuring The Crown by Kiera Cass.

The Crown (The Selection, #5)

“I’m sorry,” I said, bracing myself for the inevitable backlash. When my Selection started, I’d pictured it ending this way– with dozens of my suitors leaving at a time, many of them unprepared for their moment in the spotlight to be over. But after the last few weeks, after learning how kind, how smart, how generous so many of them were, I found the mass elimination almost heartbreaking.

The Friday 56~ Confessions of a Shopaholic

It’s time for another edition of The Friday 56, a weekly meme hosted by Freda’s Voice.

*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Link up.

This week I chose to feature Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella.

Confessions of a Shopaholic (Shopaholic, #1)

“Frugality. Simplicity. These are my new watchwords. A new, uncluttered, Zen-like life, in which I spend nothing. Spend nothing.”
