This Week We’re Quoting… Stormchaser

Over the last year, I discovered that I love participating in memes! But I participate in so many memes that the number of meme posts could be overwhelming each week. This year I decided to break my memes up group like memes together. Some of my favorite memes share quotes, so I’ve put together one post each week for all of my quote memes. Click on the logo for each meme to be taken to the host’s blog.

This week I am featuring quotes from Cherry Adair’s Stormchaser.

Stormchaser (Cutter Cay #4)

Join Rose City Reader every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.

The day didn’t look like secondhand revenge. Instead of ominous dark clouds hanging low over a pewter sea, the hot Greek sun reflected glittering sapphires off the Mediterranean. The wake of the motor launch frothed blindingly white as it carried marine archaeologist Dr. Calista West to the megayacht Stormchaser, anchored in open waters south of Crete.

Secondhand revenge?? Tell me more!

*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post to the Linky on Freda’s Voice.
*It’s that simple.

Callie motioned for Saul to hand her the jug of ice-filled whatever-it-was as she tried to appear engaged. Conversation about the quake eddied around her.

Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts - (un)Conventional Bookviews

The idea of this feature is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Each week there is a link-up at (un)Conventional Bookviews for the current post so that it’s easy to find other participants as well.

“You will take tea with an old man?” Eliades addressed Callie first, then looked to Jonah. “I would very much enjoy the company.”
“We’d be honored,” Callie responded, also in Greek. She didn’t want to waste time sipping tea and chatting. What she’s seen so far had her too excited even to sit still. But she got up to pour three cups of almost black-colored tea, passing them out before returning to her chair with her own cup and mismatched saucer.
The tea was far too strong and bitter, but she politely sipped it anyway. Jonah set his cup and saucer on the table beside him and crossed one ankle over his knee, stretching his arms out on the wide curved arms of his chair, looking perfectly relaxed. “We appreciate you allowing us access to your library. There is material here, I’m sure, we couldn’t find anywhere else.”

It’s where you share a quote from a story you have read, and where there is a lot of hotness and sexiness, but where they still take the time to be safe! If you want to participate with your very own Safe & Sexy quotes, go right ahead, but  link back to (un)Conventional Bookviews.

His heart tripped quadruple time. “Long range” should’ve scared the erection away. Somehow the words did just the opposite. “Dios, you smell delicious, and you feel even better. I can’t get enough of you. Te necessito, querido.”
“You have me.”
He shifted her slightly so he could open a drawer in the cabinet behind her. Lifting his lips from hers, he handed her a foil package.
She blinked, then took it from him. “Where did this come from?”
